The Embassy of Sri Lanka together with Sri Lankans and friends of Sri Lanka in Berlin is in the process of organizing an event for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2019, which will take place at the Sportplatz Lippstädter Straße, Lippstädter Straße 5, 12207 Berlin Lichterfelde on 07th April 2019, 09.00 to 15.00 hrs.. The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau wishes to support an Association of Sri Lankans in Germany participating in the annual Carnival of Cultures in Berlin on 7th to 10th June 2019 in showing off their motherland as a unique and diverse tourism destination. A group of dancers will be travelling from Sri Lanka to Berlin to participate in the activities of the Carnival of Cultures funded by the SLTPB.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion at the international tourism exhibition ITB 2019 – Berlin was inaugurated on 6th March 2019 with the participation of Hon. John Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife and Christian Religious Affairs.
This Embassy is hereby calling quotations from the forwarding companies for the heavy baggage of an official of this Embassy, to be transported from his/her residence in Berlin to the port of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The quotation should include charges in relation to packing, insurance and transportation of the heavy baggage for a 20 feet container.
In celebration of the 71st anniversary of the National Day, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin organized two events in addition to the Flag hosting ceremony at the Embassy premises. The celebrations included a reception for the Sri Lankan community in Germany on 4th February at the Zehlendorf city hall and a reception for the diplomatic community including senior officials from the German Government, leading businessmen, journalists and representatives of Sri Lanka Associations in Berlin on 6th February.
