Sri Lanka will be represented at the EXPO 2020 taking place from 20th October until 10th April 2021 in the United Arab Emirates under the theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future. The Sri Lankan participation is being organized by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board and will bring together public and private stakeholders of all sectors of the Sri Lankan industry and society to enhance the country's brand value and image globally. Those who hold passports of listed countries and travel to Sri Lanka from 01.08.2019 to 31.01.2020 for tourist purposes are exempted paying ETA fee, in view of enhancing tourist arrivals from designated countries. This regulation was extended from 26.02.2020 until 30.04.2020
