The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin organized an alms giving to mark the seventh day since the passing away of late Dr. Karunatilaka Amunugama (former Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Germany) on Wednesday 20th December 2017, with the participation of representatives from the Sri Lanka organizations in Berlin and the East Asian Association Hamburg at the Embassy premises.
The religious ceremony was conducted by Ven. Rambukwelle Devananda Thero of Sambodhi Buddhist Vihara Berlin, Ven. Mathugama Suvineetha Thero of Berlin Vihara, Ven. Rathmale Punnaratana Thero of Buddhist Maha Vihara in Schneverdingen and Ven. Gurudeniye Pagngnakiththi Thero of Polgahawela Pushparama Rajamaha Vihara.
German Government officials and representatives from Sri Lanka organizations in Berlin also extended their condolences to the family and friends of late Dr. Karunatilaka Amunugama.
