The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin, Germany is seeking to recruit a highlymotivated individual to join our Embassy team as a Driver cum Messenger and welcomes applications from suitable candidates.
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the duties of chauffeur of the Embassy vehicles.
Required qualifications and experience:
- A Person holding German citizenship/ Resident permit
- Good Communication skills in German and English languages
- Competent driving skills
- Valid German/EU driving license
- Working experience in the Diplomatic Missions or similar environment would be an advantage
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transportation of Embassy staff in safe and professional manner
- Maintaining the vehicle safe and clean in interior and exterior, regular service and report any issues
- Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use
- Planning routes to venues, Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient and safe trip
- Working for long hours and on holidays when required
- Extensive knowledge of the locality and routes
- Updating daily mileage records
- Delivering outgoing daily mail, packages and other correspondence in timely manner
- Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs
- Support the Embassy team with preparations for Embassy events and other tasks when required
- As part of the Embassy team, assist with other Embassy priorities as required
