Colombo is among the least expensive cities in the world, according to an annual survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). The EIU worldwide cost of living index released Monday ranked Colombo as the seventh least expensive city in the world.
Two Sri Lankan elephants in Higashiyama Zoo in Nagoya, Japan, delivered a female baby elephant on Tuesday, 29th January, being the first Asian elephant to be born at Higashiyama Zoo and the 6th Asian elephant to be born in Japan.
