Due to the electricity outage, the communication lines ( email, phone and mobile telephone) in the area are also experiencing disruptions.
The embassy will be able to resume consular services when electricity and communication channels are restored.
We are assessing the situation on a day by day basis depending on when the power is resumed.
In this context, please be informed that:
- Consular services will not be available on Monday and Tuesday, 5th and 6th January.
- The consular appointments for 5 and 6 January are cancelled. The Embassy will inform the applicants about the rescheduling of the appointments.
- For emergency consular matters, please contact the embassy on : consular.berlin@mfa.gov.lk
- Applicants are kindly requested to check this page for updates before physically visiting the Embassy.
- The resumption of consular services will be notified in due course.
