Business Visa

    1. Business Visa for Thirty (30) days can be applied online via the official website of the Department of Immigration & Emigration of Sri Lanka (ETA Official Website), https://eta.gov.lk/.
  1. Business Visa applicants from Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, North Macedonia and Montenegro can also apply Business visa for Thirty (30) Days & Ninety (90) days from the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin by visiting the Embassy in person or through the Post.

If you intend to apply Tourist/Visit Visa from the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin, the following documents are required:

  • Passport (Original)
  • ETA-Application Form
  • Tentative Flight reservation
  • Visa fees or Visa fee transfer receipt
  • Travel plan in Sri Lanka or hotel booking confirmation (Accommodation for the first day in Sri Lanka would be sufficient)
  • Invitation from host company in Sri Lanka, Confirming the purpose of visit, name, Passport number and the duration of the business visit/meeting/workshop you are going to participate
  • Letter from the sending German Organization/ Company.  The letters should be addressed to the Visa Section of the Embassy by an authorized officer on a Company/Organization letterhead.
  • Self addressed and stamped envelope in order to return the passport to the applicant
