The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau wishes to support an Association of Sri Lankans in Germany participating in the annual Carnival of Cultures in Berlin on 7th to 10th June 2019 in showing off their motherland as a unique and diverse tourism destination. A group of dancers will be travelling from Sri Lanka to Berlin to participate in the activities of the Carnival of Cultures funded by the SLTPB.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion at the international tourism exhibition ITB 2019 – Berlin was inaugurated on 6th March 2019 with the participation of Hon. John Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife and Christian Religious Affairs.
This Embassy is hereby calling quotations from the forwarding companies for the heavy baggage of an official of this Embassy, to be transported from his/her residence in Berlin to the port of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The quotation should include charges in relation to packing, insurance and transportation of the heavy baggage for a 20 feet container.
In celebration of the 71st anniversary of the National Day, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin organized two events in addition to the Flag hosting ceremony at the Embassy premises. The celebrations included a reception for the Sri Lankan community in Germany on 4th February at the Zehlendorf city hall and a reception for the diplomatic community including senior officials from the German Government, leading businessmen, journalists and representatives of Sri Lanka Associations in Berlin on 6th February.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin is in the process of finalizing arrangements for the participation of ITB 2019.
In view of that, the Embassy would appreciate to receive quotations for the following:
Sri Lanka will be represented by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau at the ITB 2019 which will be held from 06th to 10th March 2019 at Messe Berlin GmbH, Messedamm 22, 14055 Berlin. In view of this Sri Lanka Embassy in Berlin is looking for qualified and motivated young applicants with Sri Lankan background to support in the pavilion of Sri Lanka. The identified candidates are expected to assist the Embassy and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau in receiving the guests to the booth, providing information on tourist attractions, preparation of tea for the visitors, assisting VIPs, directing inquiries to the officers of SLTPB and carry out any other duties assigned related to the event.
