Candle Light Vigil in Remembrance of the Victims of the Easter Sunday Attacks in Sri Lanka

The Government of Sri Lanka has declared Tuesday 23rd April 2019 as the Day of National Mourning as a mark of respect for and remembrance of all the victims of the Easter Sunday attacks resulting in the loss of over 300 civilians whilst leaving over 450 injured.

Pursuant to the above, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Germany in collaboration with the Sri Lankan community and friends of Sri Lanka have organised a candle light vigil on 23rd of April at the Embassy Premises at 7.00pm. 

Further, it is informed that a Book of Condolence will be opened in the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin from 23rd to 25th April 2019 during office hours.

Sri Lanka’s Participation at the Carnival of Cultures in Berlin - 2019

carnival2019offerThe Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau wishes to support an Association of Sri Lankans in Germany participating in the annual Carnival of Cultures in Berlin on 7th to 10th June 2019 in showing off their motherland as a unique and diverse tourism destination. A group of dancers will be travelling from Sri Lanka to Berlin to participate in the activities of the Carnival of Cultures funded by the SLTPB.
