Mr. Juergen Weerth, former German Ambassador to Sri Lanka is appointed as Sri Lanka's Honorary Consul for North Rhine Westphalia

Honcon1Mr. Juergen Weerth has assumed responsibilities as the new Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka to North Rhine - Westphalia with consular jurisdiction covering the regions of Bergisches Land, Cologne Lowland, Lower Rhine, Münsterland, North Eifel, Ruhr, Sauerland – Siegerland and Teutoburg Forest. On behalf of Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Ambassador Karunatilaka Amunugama handed over the Commission of Appointment to Mr. Juergen Weerth on 18th November 2015 at the Sri Lanka Embassy in Berlin.


Sri Lankan Ambassador meets Berlin Sports State Secretary

Ambassador Amunugama visits Baden-Württemberg

Peter Friedrich, Minister for the Federal Council, Europe and International Affairs of Baden-Württemberg, and held extensive talks on the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation and furthering investment in Sri Lanka. The ambassador also met Hon. Wilfried Klenk, President of the Land parliament of Baden-Württemberg, and attended a reception hosted by the President of the Land parliament. The Ambassador also met the Lord Mayor of Stuttgart Fritz Kuhn.
